Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-10.v2 · 10 October 2026

The agreement between you and Study Hub while you use the pilot.

What Study Hub is

Study Hub is a learning service for Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum, run by Wamatu, trading as Study Hub. It is a pilot: free, by invitation, and still being built. These terms are the agreement between you and us while you use it.

Who can use it

  • You must be a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over to open an account.
  • Children use profiles that you create. They do not have accounts of their own, and you are responsible for how they use Study Hub.
  • Your invitation is for your family only. Please do not pass it on.
  • Keep your password and parent PIN to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has them.

What you can expect from us

  • Lessons and questions follow the curriculum designs published by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development. They are drafted with the help of AI, and a named person approves each one before children see it.
  • We work hard to get them right, but mistakes happen. If you spot one, use "Report a problem" and we will fix it.
  • The levels Study Hub shows (Exceeding, Meeting, Approaching and Below Expectation) are our own estimate from your child's quizzes. They are not school or national assessment results.
  • Study Hub supports school. It does not replace a teacher.

What we ask of you

  • Do not try to see another family's data, or to get round the sign-in, the parent PIN or any other protection.
  • Do not copy the lessons in bulk, resell them, or collect them with automated tools.
  • Do not put abusive or unlawful content in a report.
  • Please do not put personal details about your child, such as their full name or school, in a report. We do not need them.

Safety

If you see anything on Study Hub that could harm a child, choose "Safety" in "Report a problem". A person is alerted straight away.

Study Hub is not an emergency service. If a child is in danger, call Childline Kenya free on 116, or the police.

Who owns what

The lessons, questions, pictures and audio belong to Study Hub. You may use them for your own family's learning. The curriculum designs they follow belong to the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development.

Your family's data is yours. Our Privacy Policy explains how we look after it.

A pilot, offered as it is

Study Hub may be unavailable at times, and features may change or be removed while we build it. We do not promise that it will be free of errors or always available.

As far as Kenyan law allows, we are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Kenyan consumer protection law.

Cost

Study Hub is free during the pilot. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance, and you will never be charged without agreeing first.

Ending

  • You can stop at any time by deleting your account.
  • We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. We will tell you why.
  • If we end the pilot, we will give you 30 days' notice by email so that you can download your family's data.

Changes and the law that applies

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you and ask you to agree again. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya decide any dispute.
